Morris. THAT consideration of the recommendations from the Council Compensation Advisory Committee be deferred pending receipt of a report from staff regarding the feasibility of Councillors using the Canada Revenue Agency’s T2200 Declaration of Conditions of Employment form for expenses.

THAT the Council of the Township of Centre Wellington authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the lease agreement between the Township of Centre Wellington and the Liquor Control Board of Ontario for 23 Metcalfe St., Elora.

Fisher. THAT the Council of the Township of Centre Wellington authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute a by-law appointing Kanwar Brar as a Deputy Clerk for duties described in the Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act, R.S.O. 1990, s. C.17, as amended, and for carrying out duties under the direction of the Clerk.

Kitras. THAT the Council of the Township of Centre Wellington confirms the following appointments to the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Board of Directors: Dale Clarke for a 3 year term Leslie Flaherty for a 3 year term Ian Hornsby for a 3 year term

VanLeeuwen. THAT the Council of the Township of Centre Wellington authorize the Mayor and Clerk to enter into an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to participate in Ontario's Main Street Revitalization Initiative; AND THAT a By-law be signed with respect to the initiative; AND THAT the funds, when received, be placed in a new Main Street Revitalization Reserve Fund; AND THAT the funds are to be used for Fergus downtown beautification initiatives through discussions with the Fergus BIA, with specific funding Page 8 of 11 Council Minutes May 28, 2018 uses to be provided by Township staff in a future report.

THAT the Council of the Township of Centre Wellington approves the request from Gerald Benham for an exemption to By-law 5001-05, the Noise By-law for the Township of Centre Wellington, to permit the amplification of music at 53 Wilson Crescent, Elora on Saturday, July 28, 2018 between 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., for a fundraising event; AND THAT the applicant ensure neighbouring property owners are notified in advance of the event.

McElwain. THAT the Council of the Township of Centre Wellington approves the request from Kyle Grey for an exemption to By-law 5001-05, the Noise By-law for the Township of Centre Wellington, to permit the amplification of music at 120 St. George Street, East, Fergus on Saturday, June 16, 2018 between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., for a family wedding; AND THAT the applicant ensure neighbouring property owners are notified in advance of the event.

Workman. THAT the Council of the Township of Centre Wellington approves the request from Susan & Colin McEwen for an exemption to By-law 5001- Page 9 of 11 Council Minutes May 28, 2018 05, the Noise By-law for the Township of Centre Wellington, to permit the amplification of music at 6656 First Line West, Elora, on Saturday, July 7, 2018 between 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., for a wedding celebration; AND THAT the applicant ensure neighbouring property owners are notified in advance of the event.

Fisher. THAT the Council of the Township of Centre Wellington adopt a By-law to set the Township tax rates for 2018.

VanLeeuwen. THAT By-laws 2018-24 through 2018-30 be read a first, second and third time and passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk and the Corporate Seal affixed.

Kitras. THAT By-law 2018-31 to Confirm the Proceeding of Council at its meeting held May 28, 2018 be introduced a first, second and third time and passed in open Council.
